Melbourne

Melbourne’s Raheen Library is named after Melbourne philanthropists Richard and Jeanne Pratt’s family home, Raheen, in the Melbourne suburb of Kew. The Pratt family purchased the property in 1981 from the Catholic Church. The heritage listed property was built in 1870 and extended in 1884. Raheen was purchased by the Melbourne Archdiocese in 1917. It became the home of Archbishop Daniel Mannix and four other Archbishops of Melbourne.
